Three Stories to Follow This Spring
- As Trans Visibility Day approaches, we’re following the great work done by Queer Momentum and others to promote women for trans rights. Consider signing their open letter: add your name in support of Women for Trans Rights: Not In Our Name.
- We’re also following what’s happening at the Supreme Court of Canada: Quebec’s Bill 21 (religious symbols ban) and its use of the notwithstanding clause will have serious implications for marginalized, vulnerable communities. Check out EGALE’s work on this issue.
- Digital privacy in Canada: we’ve mentioned this one before– Helix is interested in seeing what the federal government proposes for this iteration of the digital privacy bill. Children deserve both privacy and protection when they are online: Canadian legislation must be updated to reflect this.
