Successful Youth Resiliency Hub Launch

The Helix Foundation’s Youth Team had an amazing launch yesterday May 6 of the Youth Resiliency Hub.

The newly launched Hub provides accessible, peer‑informed information, reviews, and insights on services across the city, including shelters, mental health supports, employment programs, and food banks.

Created with and for youth, the Hub brings together firsthand experiences, practical tips, and honest insights to help young people understand what to expect before accessing services.

Here were some highlights:

  • Councillor Thompson, and staff from Councillor Kandavel’s and MPP Hazell’s office came out and helped us officially open the hub.
  • We had some inspiring words from Youth Team Member Elle Rosen, who talked about their experience with homelessness and mental health supports.
  • A fun and engaging ‘zine making workshop.
  • Incredible open mic performances from 4 performers.

Many thanks to the youth team for making this happen, and to Strides Toronto for hosting us! We’ll be back soon.
